Getting started with Nofence

0. Delivery and unboxing

Your collars will arrive by courier or be available for collection, depending on your order. Once you have your box, open it and locate the getting started leaflet included with your collars.

1. Charge the batteries

Remove the battery from each collar, peel off the protective tape, and charge fully. The light turns green when ready. This takes up to 12 to 14 hours.

Plenty of sunlight? You can also charge collars using the built-in solar panels.

2. Insert the battery

Place the collar somewhere with a good cellular signal. Insert the battery until it clicks, then wait 30 minutes for the collar to update.

3. Download the app and sign in

Download the Nofence app and activate your account using the email we sent you. Check your spam folder if you can't find it.

4. Fit the collars

Fit the neck strap with some slack. Not too tight, not too loose. Give your livestock time to adjust before activating the pasture.

See our fitting guide → nofence.com/fitting

5. Draw your training pasture

Use the app to draw your first pasture inside an existing fenced paddock. Layer the virtual fence over the physical boundary so your livestock can learn the system safely.

After a few days, redraw the boundary away from the physical fence.

See our training guide → nofence.com/training

6. Assign collars and start grazing

Assign your collars to the pasture in the app. Your livestock are now ready to learn the virtual boundary.
