About us
We work to make it easier to get animals out on pasture, and to keep them there.
Our history
Nofence began in Batnfjordsøra, a small town on the west coast of Norway, where our founder Oscar Hovde set out to turn an idea into reality: virtual fencing for livestock.
As the concept took shape, so did the team. One man's idea became a shared mission, getting livestock back out on pasture, the way nature intended. Our customers have been part of that journey from the start, and their input continues to shape what we build.
Today we are an international team united by the same goals: to support livestock farmers, improve animal welfare, and help restore the fertility of our soil.
Our future
Farming is hard work. We believe technology should make it simpler, not more complicated. Our ambition goes beyond virtual fencing. We want to build tools that make the everyday reality of livestock farming easier, from managing grazing to monitoring animal health to reducing the time spent on tasks that pull farmers away from what matters most.
Returning animals to pasture is part of that vision. So is giving farmers more time, more confidence, and more control over their farms.
Our culture
We want the quietly ambitious. People who care about their work and their life outside of it. Those who stand out and those who don't. Those who are alike and those who are different. We value hybrid working but believe in the power of being together. Most importantly, we want kind, dedicated people we genuinely enjoy working with.
That is what we look for, and what we hope you will find here.
