How HerdNet™works

How HerdNet™ works

HerdNet™ is your herd's own local network. Collars communicate with each other via Bluetooth, so boundaries stay synchronized even where cellular coverage is weak or patchy.

Faster boundary updates across the herd

If just one collar has a signal, that collar fetches updates and shares them with nearby collars via Bluetooth. The whole herd stays online without every collar needing its own connection to the cellular network.

Better battery life through coordination

HerdNet™ makes connectivity a team effort. Because collars coordinate and share data between themselves, each collar checks in far less frequently. This dramatically reduces energy consumption, which prolongs the collars’ battery life.

Smooth transitions that respect herd behavior

HerdNet™ mimics how livestock naturally move as a group, creating smooth boundary transitions without requiring simultaneous collar connections.

Reliable operation in challenging terrain

The HerdNet™ technology allows you to use even more land, in even more remote areas – places that would normally be unusable with a physical fence. In areas of steep draws, ridge tops, dense brush, or areas with limited coverage, you can now open up ground for grazing where it wouldn’t have been possible before.
